Google has acknowledged the service disruption on its app status page with this message posted within the hour: We're investigating reports of an issue with Google Drive. We will provide more information shortly. Google calls the service issue affecting users a disruption and not an outage, meaning not every should be seeing issues but enough people are to warrant looking into it. Aside from Google Drive, the app status board lists similar issues with Docs, Slides, and Sheets as the issue is tied together.
